Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Sales Coordinator, located in Lisbon, Portugal

The Sales Coordinator — Orthopedics provides operational and administrative support to the orthopedic sales and marketing teams. This role focuses on coordinating professional education (ProfEd) activities, organizing external marketing events and internal company events, and supporting the General Manager on selected company-wide projects. The Sales Coordinator ensures smooth execution of commercial and educational initiatives, accurate documentation, and effective communication across clinical, marketing and sales stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support ProfEd activities by coordinating logistics for training sessions, workshops, cadaver labs, and surgeon trainings.

  • Organize marketing events:

  • Collaborate with marketing to implement event programs, collateral, and on-site needs (AV, displays, samples).

  • In coordination with marketing team, track event budgets, vendors, and post-event reporting (attendance, leads, feedback).

  • Organize internal events:

  • Coordinate town halls, internal training, team meetings, and recognition events.

  • Support cross-functional communications and calendar management for internal activities.

  • Support the General Manager on company-wide projects:

  • Provide project coordination, status tracking, document preparation and follow-up on action items.

  • Prepare presentations, reports and meeting minutes as requested.

  • Administrative and operational support:

  • Manage purchase orders, vendor contracts and expense reconciliation for events and training.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Business, or related field.

  • 5+ years of commercial experience in the medical device sector, with at least 3 years focused on orthopedics or related surgical implants/instruments.

  • Experience working with procurement, tender processes and hospital contracting.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills; ability to influence hospital executives.

  • Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours to meet customer needs.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€27,100.00 - €43,815.00
