We are searching for the best talent for Supply Chain Director to be in Juarez City.

Purpose:

The Supply Chain Director is responsible for managing production personnel to maximize quality and output in a manufacturing operation. Accountable for achieving production targets while maintaining cost controls. Leads and directs the production operation. Collaborates with all relevant departments to determine production goals and communicates targets to assigned department. Establishes production priorities and sequence of manufacturing projects. Reviews manufacturing issues to assess any potential risks to operation. Monitors production output against customer due dates and initiates action to prevent missed commitments. Examines production and operating reports and oversees actions taken to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems. Ensures awareness of plant personnel in the areas of safety and quality. Reviews programs within these areas and plant compliance records. Makes sure training plans are aligned with areas in need of improvement. Reviews and approves standard operational and working practices. Recommends modifications as appropriate. Approves plant's operational budget. Initiates effective cost control practices. Evaluates and approves recommendations regarding equipment repair and/or replacement.

You will be responsible for:

  • Receives essentially administrative supervision, with assignments, objectives and deadlines given in general terms. • Has complete technical and administrative responsibility to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate his/her areas of responsibility.
  • Establishes operational goals and objectives in the same line and strategies of the corporation. Prepares programs for projects and coordinates activities to ensure achieving the specifications of the corporate goals and objectives.
  • Provides a leadership role in the development and implementation of the world-class manufacturing standards (TAI, JAI, CFM).
  • Maintains a link between the people around his/her organization, with the responsibility to act independently in techniques or issues related to his/her area.
  • Implements “goal” systems and procedures to ensure that the equipment and machinery comply with the required operational performance and exploitation. Checks the machinery and equipment requirements based on the production programs.
  • Determines and watches the implementation of the capital goods improvements.
  • Ensures the introduction of new products in compliance with operational G&O.
  • Watches the master plan regarding how it relates to the FGI.
  • Understands the Materials Management and Logistics.
  • Identifies needs and coordinates the development and support of systems, e.g. Materials Management, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Information Management and Independent Partnering.
  • Ensures the adequate level of manufacturing, materials and personnel.
  • Initiates effective cost control practices.
  • From alliances with marketing and sales, he/she provides improvements in products and responds to the needs of the clients.
  • Understands the perfection of the precepts of Quality System Regulations (QSR). He/she ensures the compliance with ISO and QSR regulations.
  • Know & follow CSS policies & procedures & assure that direct reports know & follow CSS policies & procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility.
  • TRAINING: Complete training in area of responsibility & assure that direct reports are trained in area of responsibility within allowed time-period. Training is required for changes in existing policies & procedures, for new assignments & for implementation of new policies & procedures. Complete required periodic re-training & assure that required periodic re-training takes place for direct reports in areas such as safety & environmental.
  • Makes sure training plans are aligned with areas in need of improvement.
  • SAFETY: Set standards for safe behavior. Recognize & reward safe behavior in others. Ensure that direct reports employ safe practices. Enforce safety policies & procedures. Evaluate staff member’s safety performance & ensure that safety is a part of each direct report’s GPMS.
  • Provide leadership for supply chain team in developing & completing objectives.
  • Coach supply chain team in processes necessary to accomplish properly evaluated schedules & changes with respect to inventories & resources & monitoring same to ensure consumption & production are being accomplished as planned.
  • Mentor & coach department associates on career development.
  • Provide performance feedback to direct reports on a quarterly basis or more frequently if required.
  • Accountable of the process of integrating marketing forecasts into viable schedules that are compatible with the business plan; an efficient use of capacities & resources & incorporate defined inventory levels.
  • Accountable to reduce obsolescence excess & slow moving material exposure by direct interface with engineering, materials, manufacturing, marketing & finance in the release of new products & phase-out of old products.
  • Support ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9000 activities
  • Accountable of managing & directing global, strategic demand & inventory plans. This position possesses a broad range of responsibilities critical to efficient utilization of resources & inventories to meet demand. o
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures o Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Academic degree as a bachelor’s in business administration, Pharmacology, Engineering, Materials or related Sciences. Master’s degree, preferably.
  • 10-12 years of experience, preferably in Operations, Manufacturing or related activities, preferably in the field of medical products or pharmaceutical industry with a minimum of three (3) years in managerial level, preferably.
  • 5 years in at least one of the following disciplines (preferred): materials planning, master scheduling; inventory management, demand management
  • 5 years budget development & management experience preferred Knowledge about launching new products, building construction and beginning of operations, knowledge about Quality Assurance requirements, GMPs, Safety and Environment, building maintenance, planning and finances and Human Resources development, preferably.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • General skills and knowledge for financial analysis, budgets and costs, preferably.
  • Always committed to the values of the CREDO, knowledge and compliance of the business process, visionary leadership.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensible complaints. • Ability to write speeches and articles using original and innovative techniques and styles.
  • Ability to perform effective and persuasive speeches and presentation of complex topics to the employees from all levels, upper management, public and the board of directors
  • Ability to use computers and related software.
  • Negotiation skills with several and representative governmental agencies.
  • Ability for the effective management of conflicts and the ability to solve them in a diplomatic manner.
  • Ability to translate corporate goals and objectives into successful strategies. Strong capacity to analyze and solve problems, interpersonal relations skills, negotiations, leadership, interaction capacity with the associates, technology management, financial analysis, and client-oriented marketing decisions.
  • APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) certification preferred
  • Experience with planning, developing & implementing inventory management systems
  • Experience with materials management function in a multi-site environment to include demand management (DM), master scheduling (MPS), capacity planning (CRP), material planning (MRP) & inventory control
  • International materials management experience is desirable
