Position Summary
The Professional Education Lead for Surgery Spain is responsible for defining and executing the professional education strategy that strengthens clinical adoption, customer capability, and business growth across the Surgery portfolio in Spain. This role leads the design and delivery of highimpact educational programs for healthcare professionals, translating clinical and commercial
priorities into relevant learning experiences. The position requires close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Strategic Accounts, Legal, Compliance, and external faculty to ensure education activities are strategically aligned, operationally excellent, and fully compliant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the professional education strategy for the Surgery business in Spain, aligned with business priorities, customer needs, and portfolio growth objectives.

  • Design and deliver educational pathways, workshops, faculty programs, and capability building initiatives for surgeons and other healthcare professionals across targeted procedures and technologies.

  • Identify capability gaps and learning needs in partnership with field teams and cross-functional stakeholders, and translate them into scalable, high-quality educational solutions.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Strategic Accounts, Legal, and Compliance to ensure education initiatives support clinical adoption, customer engagement, and responsible business practices.

  • Develop and manage relationships with faculty, key opinion leaders, and training centers, ensuring strong engagement, high-quality execution, and appropriate governance.

  • Lead the planning and execution of educational events, clinical training programs, and digital or blended learning experiences that improve reach, relevance, and learner impact.

  • Manage education budgets, project timelines, and performance metrics, monitoring program effectiveness and using insights to continuously improve outcomes.

  • Ensure all educational activities are delivered in full compliance with healthcare regulations, internal policies, and applicable quality and governance standards.

  • Act as a strategic partner to the Surgery leadership team in Spain, providing education insights that support market development, customer engagement, and long-term capability building.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in professional education, clinical education, commercial education, sales enablement, or training within MedTech, healthcare, or the surgical environment.

  • Strong understanding of surgical procedures, clinical pathways, and the hospital environment; knowledge of the Surgery portfolio is highly valued.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Experience working with faculty, key opinion leaders, educational events, or hospital stakeholders, with a strong understanding of compliance and governance requirements.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, project management, and analytical skills, with the ability to convert strategy into practical execution.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€61.800,00 - €106.260,00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
