Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. We are searching for the best talent for Experienced Financial Analyst.

Purpose:
Establish and ensure adherence to financial processes, controls and targets in order to deliver the overall program applying J&J procedures and best accounting practices.Support financial close, project accounting and reporting activities and all program-related compliance inquiries. In conjunction with the Finance Manager seek out and collaborate with J&J subject-matter-experts in Global Financial Services, Trade Compliance, Tax, Treasury and Legal as needed to ensure compliance with all internal and external laws and procedures.

In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Support the site financial planning activities following Franchise calendars and processes. Assist in developing and presenting detailed project budgets, analysis and executive summary projections to senior leadership.
  • Assist in identifying and presenting critical insights regarding project goals, opportunities & risks and mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Support with the SAP implementation from a cost accounting perspective.
  • Monitor and analyze profit margins related to inventory, ensuring accurate reporting of profit in inventory for financial statements.
  • Collaborate with inventory management teams to assess the impact of unsold inventory on overall profitability.
  • Regularly assess and report on excess and obsolete inventory, providing recommendations for management to reduce losses.
  • Implement strategies to minimize E&O through effective inventory management and forecasting.
  • Analyze full absorption cost structures and their impact on financial performance.
  • Build strong cross-functional and cross-franchise partnerships across all levels within Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, R&D, Marketing and Commercial to collect and challenge assumptions, model scenario implications and influence business decisions.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications / Requirements:

Experience and education

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant multinational experience is required.
  • Upper intermediate English proficiency is required. Advanced proficiency is preferred.

Required knowledge, skills, abilities, certifications/licenses and affiliations

  • Strong analytical, technical accounting, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Cost accounting experience.
  • Ability to build effective business partner relationships using persuading and influencing skills
  • Strong organization skills and an interest in planning and strong communication - Framing and communicating of complex data
  • Proven record of driving continuous operational improvements
  • Accuracy with attention to detail
  • Ability to translate complex situations into simple working solutions and ability to prioritize and support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prior experience driving manufacturing site start-up, network transformation and / or standardization of supply chain finance activities
  • Previous experience and knowledge of ERP functionality & master data setup (JDE/SAP), Sales & Operations Planning processes, international legal entity statutory & regulatory requirements, trade compliance / intercompany product & financial flows, labor agreements and financial audits
  • Prior healthcare / medical device industry experience is desired
