The Associate Director of NPI Platform serves as a key member of the NPI Operation leadership team and reports directly to the Director of Global NPI Operations. This position leads and executes all New Products Introduction responsibilities for the manufacturing function, responsible for delivering operational and supply chain technical readiness for all new product launches. The Associate Director of NPI Platform works closely with the Platform General Managers as a member of their respective cross-functional Platform Lead Team (PLT). PLT focuses on a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring successful product development through commercialization.

Build and lead the necessary manufacturing organization within a platform, business processes and initiative success criteria that together ensure the smooth and timely transition of new products from feasibility into stable production. This includes internal new process development and validation, work instructions and quality inspection definitions, external process qualification, project plan development, and leading cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and deliverables.

Lead and mentor on areas of engineering expertise; be an agent of change, constantly moving the organization towards improvements in technical skills, systems knowledge, rigorous problem solving and disciplined project execution. Lead a team of managers, engineers and technicians, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure team members reach their full potential.

Leverage technical expertise and broad organization influence to build Design for Manufacturability (DFM) capability, with special focus on influencing the broader business during the product design stage. Provide guidance and technical consultation to sustaining organizations including Production Engineering, Supplier Engineering and Innovation Excellence in the areas of requirements, specifications, design and verification and validation with regards to NPI efforts.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and key opinion leaders.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams across multiple locations and functions.

• Excellent project management skills, with experience managing complex, cross-functional projects.

• Experience with product lifecycle management and sustaining engineering.

• Strong technical background, with a deep understanding of product design and engineering principles.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $122,000 - $212,750.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401k).This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program. Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year. Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year. Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year. Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year.
