Job Description:

As part of overall MTSC Transformation, the MTSC Transformation W&T pillar is responsible for designing and realizing the future-state supply chain network for Johnson & Johnson MedTech. This function includes oversight of consolidation and rationalization actions for the global distribution network, a strategic shift toward an asset-light model, and the build-out of new, future-looking logistics capabilities including partner management, network design, systems strategy, and defining the transition standards required to sustain performance in the future state. The team operates centrally, with close partnership with regional Transformation and Deliver teams cross EMEA, APAC, LATAM, and North America.

Manager, 3PL Partner Management Excellence that sits within the MTSC Transformation W&T pillar, is responsible for deploying strategy and capabilities, leading orchestration and execution of operational processes related to 3PL partner management across the APAC distribution network.

The position is responsible for deploying standardized partner management processes, governance activities, and operational coordination with 3PL partners to ensure alignment with defined standards, service expectations, and transformation objectives. This includes maintaining operational documentation, supporting governance cadences, tracking partner-related actions, and coordinating issue resolution activities across regional and cross-functional stakeholders.

The role works closely with global Transformation W&T on standards and capability deployment into the region, ensuring APAC Deliver and cross-functional teams consistently executes towards capability and standards, whilst driving continuous improvement of the asset-light operating model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Source to Contract Excellence

  • Partner with global to define contracting standards, policies and guardrails
  • Ensures global contracting standards are deployed in each logistics contract in APAC that gets updated or initiated through transitions

Partner Performance Management – Capability Development and Functional Analytics

  • Build foundations and financial architecture to enable key capabilities
  • Identify requirements to track and report on operational and financial performance aligned with contractual commitments
  • Train regional / market Deliver teams on new capabilities and requirements
  • Build and maintain centralized performance portal / workflow tools to ensure consistent regional execution
  • Partner with global to conduct benchmarking and other Cost Gap Modelling related analytics and leverage output for continuous improvement with APAC region and markets

Engagement Model and Segmentation Ownership

  • Establish and maintain partner management standards
  • Partner with global to build revamped partner reporting governance and supporting templates
  • Deploy enhanced segmentation framework
  • Drive preparatory for key partner engagement whilst onboarding APAC Deliver and functional owners
  • Deploy global operational playbooks for critical processes, ensure process adherence across partner lifecycle
  • Ensures APAC region and markets adhere to centrally set standards, governance and segmentation

Governance and Execution

  • Ensures Deliver day-to-day partner engagement as per standards
  • Partner with DS&E to establish and maintain regional reporting cadences as per enterprise mechanism and provide input to enterprise-level governance
  • Implement new capabilities and resulting KPIs
  • Update global central team on adherence on enterprise standards

QUALIFICATION

Minimum Required Experience

  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, or partner/vendor coordination roles
  • Experience supporting operational processes, governance activities, or project coordination in cross-functional environments
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Must have regional experience in managing multiple markets operations / suppliers / providers
  • Strong governance, stakeholder management, and executive communication capabilities
  • Experience maintaining process documentation, trackers, reporting files, or governance materials
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to support structured execution of operational processes
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify process gaps and support improvement initiatives
  • Problem solving mentality and “can do” attitude. Able to analyze multiple data sources in high pressure environments to give prompt recommendations & solutions
  • Strong communication skills, ability to articulate and simplify situation and issues with clear actions to all stakeholders to instill trust and confidence
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and drive execution in highly matrixed environments, effective in working in a “pod” environment

Preferred Experience

  • MBA advantageous
  • Exposure to warehouse, transportation, or 3PL-managed logistics environments highly preferred
  • MedTech, hi-tech, pharma or complex regulated industry experience
  • Exposure to 3PL transformation or other supply chain transformation initiatives
  • Experience in value realization, transformation governance, or operational strategy
  • Lean Six Sigma, ADKAR certification is desirable

Operational / technical experience – must be able to manage complexity and be prepared to be involved in operational and technical issues at a detailed level.

Analytics and fact-based - Able to analyze complex issues and use critical thinking skills, problem solving skills and sound judgement

Transformation agility – Comfortable in operating in fast-paced, evolving transformation environments with competing priorities and organizational ambiguity. Demonstrated resilience and adaptability while maintaining governance discipline and execution focus across multiple concurrent initiatives

Strategic learning orientation – Continuously seeks to improve enterprise transformation effectiveness by identifying process simplification opportunities, governance improvement, organizational efficiencies and strategic optimization insights. Demonstrated curiosity and forward-thinking orientation towards future-state supply chain evolution

Matrix organization - The candidate must know how to maneuver in a matrix organization, i.e. how to optimize our resources and knowledge, partnering with cross-functional peers and local/regional team mates to deliver results
