DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Sr. Manager, Project/Portfolio Management, located in Bogotá Distrito Capital, Distrito Capital de Bogotá.
This role is a critical part of the Strategy & Operations organization, helping translate enterprise strategy into executable plans across DePuy Synthes. As Sr. Manager, Project & Portfolio Management, you will drive portfolio governance, strengthen execution discipline, and bring visibility to key strategic initiatives. This position offers high exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence how priorities are defined, funded, and delivered across a complex, global organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the day-to-day management of a portfolio of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities, timelines, and resource plans.
• Partner with the Director of Strategy & Portfolio and cross-functional leaders to support portfolio prioritization, funding decisions, and milestone reviews.
• Establish and maintain portfolio governance processes, including intake, stage gates, status reviews, issue escalation, and leadership reporting.
• Drive consistent project and portfolio management practices to improve execution rigor, transparency, and accountability.
• Create executive-level dashboards and updates that provide clear visibility to progress, risks, dependencies, and key decisions.
• Collaborate across business, operations, supply chain, quality, and technology teams to manage interdependencies and ensure successful execution.
• Identify risks, constraints, and trade-offs across the portfolio and develop mitigation plans with stakeholders.
• Support annual and in-year planning cycles by translating strategic priorities into a structured portfolio of initiatives.
• Develop and enhance tools, templates, and performance insights to improve decision-making and portfolio oversight.
• Coach project leads and team members on best practices in project and portfolio management.
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations, project management, or a related field required.
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
• 8-10 years of relevant experience in project, program, or portfolio management, strategy execution, or business transformation roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within a matrixed organization.
• Proven ability to translate strategic priorities into structured plans, governance frameworks, and measurable outcomes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize data and support leadership decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including influencing at multiple levels of the organization.
• Experience establishing governance routines, tracking performance, and driving accountability across multiple initiatives.
• Strong alignment to Johnson & Johnson Credo values and leadership principles in day-to-day work.
Preferred: • Experience developing portfolio dashboards, executive reporting, and performance metrics.
• Familiarity with project/portfolio management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Power BI, or similar).
• Experience supporting strategic planning, investment prioritization, and resource allocation processes.
• Background in healthcare, MedTech, or regulated industries.
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives in project execution and governance.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor project managers or team members.
Other:
• Language: English required; Spanish proficiency strongly preferred.
• Travel: Up to 20% (may include international travel).
• Certifications: PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certifications preferred.
