We are searching for the best talent for PRINCIPAL RECORDS TECHNICIAN for Planta Salvarcar in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.

Purpose: As a member of the quality group, performs and executes assigned technical and administrative tasks, generates, maintains and distributes information and records as required. In addition, manages information through the use of the company's internal systems. Provides support to different areas and departments in the search for documents. Establishes priorities to ensure compliance, quality of the scanning process and supports the records program established by Records Management.

You will be responsible for: In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • May have shift rotation and/or may require working overtime.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

The Principal Records Technician will be able to perform all of the above activities and will also perform the duties of Records Coordinator:

  • Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the records management program for Corporate. Supports all aspects of archiving, control and retrieval of documents and information that is proprietary or has been published.
  • Conducts current records compliance and audit to vital records protection, in conjunction with the Records Management Manager.
  • Supports the Manager in the review and management of records retention schedules for Corporate, including annual departmental reviews and public updates throughout the year, as required.
  • Participates in annual records reviews, periodic records management training and department records coordinator meetings.
  • Supports the manager by answering questions or concerns related to records management.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of organizational plans for Records Center operations, performing backup duties for the storage and retrieval of records held off-site and making necessary imaging arrangements.
  • Participates in the formulation of long-term plans for the owner's information systems for records retention and information security that support strategic objectives, as well as the implementation and ongoing support of the same.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant owner's database search capabilities. Trains other employees as needed.
  • May be responsible for the operation and maintenance (under minimal supervision) of a technical records center of a reasonably complex nature.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with federal, state and local regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to the Health, Safety and Environmental domains.
  • Responsible for tracking the scanning process of Routing sheets and critical records.
  • Ensures that scanned documents are properly processed and stored.
  • Ensures compliance with scanning procedures.
  • Assists or executes investigations for non-conformances, audit observations, CAPAs and others.
  • May be a database administrator for the Department.
  • Acts as a coordinator when there is a quality problem.
  • Actively participates in site audits.
  • Leads continuous improvement projects in the area focused on strengthening the administration of records.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the record control group to obtain results.

Qualifications / Requirements:

EDUCATION:

  • Studies in professional career or equivalent in progress or finished.
  • Quality Improvement Associate or Quality Auditor certification preferred.
  • Advanced English.

JOB EXPERIENCE:

  • More than 10 years of experience related to the position preferably.
  • Knowledge and skills to satisfactorily carry out the responsibilities of the position.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS*

  • Preferably bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Knowledge of QSR/ISO preferred.
  • Required: knowledge of basic computer skills: MS office word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, etc.
  • Desired: knowledge of quality engineering tools such as: measurement systems analysis, basic statistical analysis and others.
  • Desired: ASQ Improvement Associate / Quality Auditor certifications.
  • Desired: Process Excellence Green Belt Certification.
