Job Description:

Role Title: Medical Affairs Operational Excellence Intern

Duration: 12 months
Location: Office-based in Dubai
Reports to: Head of Medical Affairs Gulf Region

Summary
An internship position to support the execution of Medical Affairs Functions (MAF) operational activities and to maintain and track digital dashboards for the MAF team. This role focuses on day-to-day execution, maintaining operational trackers, managing workflows, and ensuring high data quality and timely follow-up across medical operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational support to the MAF team to help ensure timely execution of medical activities and deliverables.

  • Maintain and update operational trackers and dashboards, including the CIE log, to provide clear visibility on status, owners, timelines, and actions.

  • Capture, triage, and assist in prioritizing incoming CIEs; ensure accurate recording, routing, and timely follow-up to closure.

  • Support meeting logistics, prepare agendas, take minutes, and track action items to completion.

  • Maintain and organize process documents, templates, and simple SOP checklists to support consistent execution.

  • Produce routine status updates and simple slide summaries for stakeholders.

  • Liaise with Medical Leads, MSLs, Regulatory/Compliance, and IT/Digital contacts to resolve routine operational issues and escalate risks as appropriate.

Deliverables/Expected Outcomes

  • An up-to-date, accurate CIE tracker with clear owners, statuses, and due dates.

  • Weekly operational summary shared with Medical Affairs leadership.

  • Documented process templates and checklists for repeatable tasks.

  • Timely completion of assigned operational tasks and improved visibility of work-in-progress.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Public Health, Healthcare Management, Business, or relevant.

  • Recently graduated in 2026 or 2025.

  • Proficiency with Excel (tables, filters, basic formulas), PowerPoint, and SharePoint/Google Drive for document control.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, reliability, and ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare concise status updates.

  • Comfortable working in a regulated environment and following SOPs.

  • Preferred: Certifications in project coordination, process improvement, or similar.
