Johnson & Johnson is hiring for a Commercial Operations Sr. Manager

Role Purpose
Lead the Commercial Operations function for Surgery Southern Cluster, driving commercial effectiveness, business transformation, digital enablement, and operational excellence to accelerate sustainable growth and improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of commercial strategies that support Business Unit objectives and drive profitable growth across the cluster.
  • Oversee the Bids & Tenders strategy and execution, ensuring competitive positioning, compliance, and operational excellence in a business representing a significant portion of cluster revenue.
  • Drive cross-functional transformation initiatives aimed at improving commercial processes, operational efficiency, customer experience, and business outcomes.
  • Lead commercial operations and sales enablement processes, including contract management, consignment, fixed assets, rebates, bonuses, free goods, samples, and tenders, ensuring compliance, process excellence, and business continuity.
  • Lead the Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) agenda, including territory optimization, segmentation, opportunity management and sales productivity improvement.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align strategic priorities and ensure execution of key business initiatives.
  • Establish governance mechanisms and leadership forums to monitor strategic priorities, business performance, risks, and execution progress.
  • Build organizational capabilities by promoting continuous improvement, operational discipline, and a high-performance culture across the commercial organization.
  • Define and execute the commercial digital transformation roadmap, including change management initiatives that foster digital adoption, agile ways of working, and data-driven decision-making.

Scope

  • Regional responsibility across the Southern Cluster.
  • Leadership of multidisciplinary and multi-country teams across Commercial Operations, Sales Effectiveness and Bids & Tenders.
  • Strong interaction with senior leadership teams to influence strategic decisions and business priorities.
  • Accountability for commercial effectiveness, process governance, and business performance improvement initiative

Qualifications & Experience Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred.

Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in commercial strategy, sales enablement, pricing, sales operations, or finance, ideally within medical devices, life sciences, or complex B2B environments.
  • Demonstrated experience designing or managing sales compensation and incentive structures in multi‑country or matrixed organizations.
  • Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets, translating data into insights, narratives, and executive‑level recommendations.
  • Experience influencing senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders without direct reporting lines.
  • LATAM regional experience preferred; comfort navigating diverse markets, cultures, and levels of commercial maturity.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong analytical acumen with advanced capability in data interpretation, modeling, and performance analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, able to distill complexity into clear, compelling messages.
  • Strategic mindset combined with strong execution discipline.
  • High learning agility and comfort operating in ambiguous, changing environments.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
