The incumbent will support Business Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Working collaboratively with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other support functions, the incumbent will assist in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance overall business performance through the application of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
The position offers hands-on experience in process improvement, data analysis, project management, and change management within a manufacturing environment. The incumbent will contribute to initiatives focused on waste reduction, process optimization, performance management, and continuous improvement culture development.
The successful candidate should demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and Business Excellence methodologies.
Assist with process mapping, value stream mapping (VSM), and identification of improvement opportunities.
Help develop and maintain project plans and track progress of improvement initiatives.
Participate in Kaizen events, brainstorming sessions, and other continuous improvement activities.
Support Lean and Six Sigma certification projects, including Yellow Belt initiatives.
Assist with Lean Maturity Assessments, benchmarking activities, and best-practice sharing.
Create and maintain dashboards, scorecards, visual management tools, and performance metrics.
Support the development of training materials, standard work documents, databases, and educational resources.
Collaborate with employees across multiple departments to drive process improvements and support business objectives
Education & Experience
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Completed or in process of their third year of undergraduate studies.
Minimum GPA of 2.8
Preferred Skills
Interest in process improvement, operational excellence, and problem solving.
Basic understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement concepts.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
Familiarity with statistical tools such as Minitab is a plus.
