We are searching for the best talent for Direct Materials Purchasing PMO

Purpose: This role is responsible for leading the Project Management Office supporting the purchasing organization, ensuring effective execution, governance, and visibility of component purchasing and supply chain initiatives. Manages a portfolio of cross-functional projects focused on capacity planning, supplier changes, material discontinuations, and other component related projects that could jeopardize customer service. As well, will manage projects needed to support business growth such digitalization and automation of component purchasing processes.

You will be responsible for:

In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • PMO leadership: Establish and lead the Purchasing PMO, including governance, standards and reporting.
  • Manage the portfolio of purchasing projects and supplier-related projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Prioritize projects based on supply risk, supplier criticality and organizational objectives.
  • Standardize project management tools, templates, and performance metrics across the purchasing function.
  • Portfolio Management: supplier critical cost reduction/dual source projects, supplier performance improvement programs, new product introduction component readiness, supplier capacity planning and expansion coordination, supply risk mitigation and recovery initiatives, last time purchases and discontinuations, among others. Any other initiative to automate or improve purchasing processes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities required to support component readiness.
  • Monitor project milestones, internal and external deliverables and critical path activities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive purchasing portfolio risk register.
  • Escalate critical supply or supplier risks with recommended mitigation plans.
  • Partner with Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Operations, Logistics, Finance and other functions.
  • Dashboard creation to communicate key metrics and project health- Customer service and production impact.
  • Supplier Capacity Management: Support supply base capacity assessments for targeted suppliers to identify capacity gaps, develop mitigation plans, and track projects along with project leader until completion.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement supply chain improvements through process optimization and digital tools.
  • Financials: Provides timely and accurate information to support budgeting processes across financial cycles. Delivers on established targets.
  • Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • For those who supervise or manage staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications / Requirements:

JOB EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Minimum of BS in Business, Finance, Engineering, Logistics.
  • MBA in related fields a plus.
  • 8-10 years of experience in Procurement, Materials Management or related areas (materials planning, master scheduling, inventory management, capacity management, etc).
  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management.
  • Experience in Medical industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/application of specific IT solutions to optimize purchasing processes.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS

  • Fluent in English
  • CPIM, CSCP by APICS, PMP certifications preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical reasoning.
  • People leadership.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, complex and competitive environment
