What happens when decision enablement, data, process come together to help organizations make better decisions?

The Decision Enablement team helps Global Regulatory Affairs transform complexity into actionable decisions. We connect business strategy, decision science, data, process excellence, and emerging technologies to help leaders make more informed, transparent, and scalable decisions. This role supports priorities within both the Decision Enablement strategy and the GRA AI Excellence Program.

This internship is ideal for students interested in how organizations adopt new technologies, make strategic decisions, and translate technical capabilities into business value.

The Opportunity

What You’ll Do

  • Explore how AI, analytics, and decision science are applied to real-world business challenges
  • Support initiatives that integrate AI into regulatory workflows and decision-making
  • Participate in stakeholder interviews, workshops, and cross-functional discussions
  • Research trends in AI, agentic AI, decision intelligence, and digital transformation
  • Help assess opportunities to improve business processes, decision quality, and organizational effectiveness
  • Contribute to AI adoption, change management, measurement, and reporting
  • Develop executive-ready presentations, summaries, and recommendations
  • Collaborate across business and technical teams to connect capabilities with business needs

AI Excellence & Adoption

Support the GRA AI Excellence Program by helping assess organizational AI maturity, gather stakeholder insights, identify adoption opportunities, and contribute to initiatives that accelerate responsible AI use across GRA.

AI Use Cases for Regulatory Decision-Making

Research and evaluate AI and agentic AI opportunities that could improve regulatory workflows, decision-making, knowledge management, and operational effectiveness. Assess business value, stakeholder impact, and adoption considerations.

Decision Science & Decision Quality

Explore how organizations make high-quality decisions in complex environments. Support projects that help leaders evaluate options, understand trade-offs, clarify assumptions, and improve decision transparency.

Decision Intelligence & Business Analytics

Assist in developing decision-ready insights through metrics, dashboards, performance reporting, business storytelling, and scenario analysis.

Digital Transformation & Change Adoption

Support communications, workshops, and engagement activities that help employees adopt AI-enabled workflows, data-informed practices, and new ways of working.

Data & Process Culture

Examine how data quality, governance, process excellence, and organizational behaviors influence decision-making. Help strengthen the foundations required for scalable and trusted decisions.

Future of Work & Human-AI Collaboration

Explore how people and AI can work together effectively, including AI agents, workforce readiness, role evolution, capability building, and the future of decision-making.

Strategic Stakeholder Engagement

Work with leaders, AI champions, and business teams to understand challenges, gather insights, facilitate discussions, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, Health or Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • Strong interest in AI, business strategy, emerging technologies, and decision-making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfort working across business and technical teams
  • Curious, collaborative, and willing to learn

Preferred

  • Coursework related to AI, business analytics, digital transformation, information systems, or technology strategy
  • Experience conducting research, analyzing information, or supporting project work
  • Interest in organizational change, innovation, and the future of work
  • Exposure to data visualization, process improvement, or technology adoption initiatives

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is curious about how organizations make decisions and how emerging technologies shape the future of business. You enjoy connecting people, technology, and ideas to solve problems. While you may not want to build AI systems yourself, you’re excited to understand how AI creates value, supports decisions, and enables organizations to work differently.

You are interested in the business side of innovation, comfortable working with diverse stakeholders, and motivated by the opportunity to help shape how people and technology collaborate in the future.
