We are searching for the best talent for TDS Proteins API DSP HTPD Co-Op to be in Malvern, PA or Spring House, PA.

  • 5 vacancies are currently available.
  • The Co-op term is six months typically from January to June, 2027 (flexible).
  • Full time requirement (40 hours per week) Fully On-site.

Purpose:

The TDS Proteins Development API organization is seeking a highly motivated Co-Op to support high-throughput process development (HTPD), protein purification, bioconjugation process development, chromatography optimization, automation, and digital innovation initiatives that advance biologics and protein therapeutics development.


This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in laboratory research, process development, high-throughput screening, data analysis, and workflow optimization while collaborating with scientists and engineers across process development, manufacturing, analytical, automation, and digital teams. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of scalable platforms, innovative technologies, and data-driven solutions that support multiple biologics programs.


You will be responsible:

  • Supporting high-throughput process development, protein purification, chromatography, filtration, and bioconjugation development activities.
  • Designing, executing, and documenting laboratory experiments to evaluate process performance, operating conditions, and process scalability.
  • Performing chromatography, resin screening, protein characterization, conjugation, and purification studies using laboratory and automated platforms.
  • Supporting development and evaluation of scale-down models, high-throughput screening workflows, and automation technologies.
  • Analyzing and interpreting experimental data using statistical and quantitative methods to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Participating in experimental design discussions and helping identify solutions to technical challenges.
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners across scientific, engineering, manufacturing, and digital organizations.
  • Developing workflows, tools, best practices, and platform strategies that improve process efficiency, consistency, and knowledge management.
  • Supporting digital initiatives involving data analysis, visualization, programming, process automation, and data-driven decision making.
  • Maintaining laboratory notebooks, technical documentation, and project records in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Presenting project updates, findings, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemical, Biochemical, Biological, Biomedical, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Data Science, Mathematics, Related Engineering or Scientific disciplines.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • You must not have any Summer Internship contract or other employment commitment that could interfere with the contract dates specified for this position.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and quantitative problems using data-driven approaches.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interest in biologics manufacturing, process development, laboratory execution, and digital technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and learning agility.

Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience or exposure in one or more of the following areas is preferred:


Process Development & Laboratory Experience:

  • Laboratory, research, biologics process development, or manufacturing-related experience.
  • Experience with experimental design, execution, and scientific data interpretation.
  • Prior experience with protein purification, protein characterization, and basic protein biochemistry.
  • Experience with multichannel pipetting and handling small-volume samples.

Chromatography & Purification:

  • Chromatography experience, including HPLC, FPLC, column chromatography, resin screening studies, and chromatography process development.
  • Knowledge of downstream bioprocessing and scale-down model development or validation.
  • Experience with Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF).
  • Knowledge of Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC), ion-exchange, mixed-mode resins, and common chromatographic performance metrics.

High-Throughput & Automation:

  • Experience with plate-based assays, high-throughput process development (HTPD), and high-throughput screening workflows.
  • Experience with laboratory automation platforms such as Tecan systems.

Conjugation & Biotherapeutics:

  • Experience with bioconjugation, antibody conjugates, ADC-related laboratory techniques, or purification workflows.

Digital & Data Skills:

  • Experience with data analysis, data visualization, modeling, application development, or programming tools.
  • Basic programming knowledge and experience with data aggregation and analysis is a plus, but not required.
  • Statistics and data-driven decision-making experience preferred.
