Position Overview
DePuy Synthes is seeking a Pricing Specialist to join the SEA Commercial Excellence team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the growth of a leading global Orthopaedics business, working with an innovative portfolio and a strong culture of innovation
This role is a regional execution-focused position responsible for supporting pricing operations, pricing analysis, and pricing master data maintenance across Southeast Asia markets.
Reporting into the SEA Commercial Excellence organization, the Pricing Specialist will work closely with local commercial teams, Finance, Supply Chain Data Operations, and Global Services to ensure that pricing activities are executed accurately, consistently, and in full compliance with internal governance requirements.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role suited to a candidate early in their career who is detail-oriented, analytically minded, and comfortable operating in a structured, process-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pricing Operations & Governance Execution
Support end-to-end execution of pricing activities across SEA, including list prices, contract prices, and non-contract prices, in line with established pricing governance and approval frameworks
Prepare and coordinate pricing maintenance documentation (e.g. Form C) to facilitate commercial and finance approvals prior to system upload
Act as the Commercial Excellence point of coordination between Sales, Finance, Supply Chain Data Operations, and GS to ensure smooth and timely execution of pricing requests
Support annual price review cycles and ad-hoc pricing updates by coordinating data preparation, review inputs, approvals, and system uploads
Assist in the preparation, tracking, and filing of monthly price edit reports and other pricing audit artifacts
2. Pricing Analysis
Work closely with commercial and finance to support pricing-related analysis, including data preparation for gross profit (GP) assessments and price threshold checks
Compile and structure pricing data to support Finance-led analysis against business plans, GP benchmarks, and approval matrices
Perform comparative checks between proposed prices and existing prices maintained in SAP to identify discrepancies or data issues prior to submission
Support pricing reviews by preparing structured datasets and summaries to facilitate efficient commercial and finance decision-making
3. Pricing Master Data & System Maintenance
Maintain and update pricing master data across SAP and related systems in coordination with Supply Chain Data Operations and GS
Perform data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation of pricing files prior to uploads to ensure accuracy, completeness, and correct validity dates
Recheck pricing uploads post-maintenance to confirm successful system updates and resolve discrepancies where required
Maintain master price lists and supporting documentation in accordance with internal audit and record‑keeping requirements
4. Process Discipline & Continuous Improvement
Execute pricing activities in strict adherence to pricing SOPs, RACI definitions, and approval matrices
Proactively flag data quality, process gaps, or recurring issues that could impact pricing accuracy or cycle time
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at standardising pricing processes, reducing rework, and improving data reliability
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
Min 5 years of relevant work experience in Commercial Excellence, Pricing, Finance Operations, Supply Chain, or a similar analytical / operational role
Prior exposure to pricing processes, commercial operations, or master data management is an advantage
Experience in medical device, hospital specialty or healthcare field is preferred
Experience working with visualization and reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI) to drive insights and decision support a distinct advantage
Strong proficiency in Excel; experience handling large, structured datasets
Key Competencies
High attention to detail and strong data discipline
Structured and methodical approach to operational tasks
Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders
Comfortable operating in a governed, process-heavy environment
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple concurrent requests and deadlines across markets
