We are searching for the best talent for Global Supply Planner to be based in Limerick.

You will play a central role in ensuring product availability and efficient supply across a global network, supporting supply planning and network optimization efforts. This role directly impacts service levels and inventory performance by turning demand and supply signals into clear, executable plans that keep our operations reliable and responsive!

You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, sourcing, demand planning, sales, customer service, and logistics to improve cycle time, increase flexibility, and drive measurable improvements across the supply chain!

As a Global Supply Planner, you will:

  • Propagate net requirements upstream and translate them into feasible downstream deployment plans to protect service and minimize disruptions.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-site and cross-functional relationships with External Manufacturers, Demand Planning, Sales, Customer Service, and Distribution/Logistics to align plans when forecasts, supply, or customer orders change.
  • Balance demand, inventory, and capacity to meet service targets (e.g., LIFR) and financial goals while optimizing inventory entitlement and stock positioning across locations.
  • Maintain and govern key planning master data and parameters (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, sourcing rules) to ensure accurate system planning and better supply outcomes.
  • Manage purchase orders, handle changes and exceptions, and support Accounts Payable with invoicing issues while proactively communicating supply status and critical metrics.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, present clear scenario trade-offs, develop resolution plans, and drive implementation with partners while participating in global supply chain and network optimization initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience in supply chain planning, including working with external suppliers, invoice matching with Accounts Payable, strong Excel skills, and the ability to analyse stock, challenge processes, and present insights to senior stakeholders (BSc in Supply Chain or a related field is highly desirable).
  • 4–6+ years of supply chain or planning experience (supply planning, materials planning, or network planning).
  • Experience in a complex, multi-site supply chain environment, preferably in medical devices, pharmaceutical, or another regulated industry.
  • Proven ability to work within global, cross-functional teams with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP and Advanced Planning Systems (examples: SAP APO/SNP/ECC and OMP) and hands-on experience managing purchase orders and exceptions.
  • Strong analytical and scenario-modelling capabilities with advanced Excel and MS Office skills; Green Belt Six Sigma and supply chain certifications are desirable.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Application review: We’ll carefully review your CV to see how your skills and experience align with the role.
  • Getting to know you: If there’s a good match, you’ll be invited to a short call with one of our recruitment team to understand more about you and answer any questions that you might have.
  • Staying informed: We know waiting can be hard and processes can evolve; our recruitment team will keep you updated and make sure you know what to expect at each step.
  • Final steps: For successful candidates, you will need to complete country-specific checks before starting your new role. We will help guide you through these.

Finally, at the end of the process, we’ll invite you to share feedback in a short survey — your input helps us continue improving the experience for future candidates. Thank you for considering a career with Johnson & Johnson. We’re excited to learn more about you and wish you the best of luck in the process! #RPOEMEA #LI_Onsite
