Support that meets people where they are 

Mental health and well-being isn't something you simply “have” or “don’t have.”

Rather, it exists along a continuum—from a thriving state to coping or struggling—based on life events, stressors and support systems. So we offer that support in different ways and for different moments. That includes confidential counseling and guidance, practical help during major life events, crisis support, and resources that can help employees build resilience over time. 

Support includes our Employee Assistance Program & CARE Services—Confidential, Accessible, Responsive and Engaged—designed to make it easier to get help when it matters most. 

“There are many times in my life where I've had to prioritize my mental health and well-being,” said Tangie J., a director at J&J. “But in certain situations, throughout my life, that hasn't been enough and the Employee Assistance Program has tremendously helped me to get into a place where I can thrive and be myself.”

A culture of care, learning and connection 

Support at J&J goes beyond services alone. We also offer education and training that builds awareness around mental health and helps employees recognize where they are on the continuum. Workshops help leaders foster supportive, respectful teams and psychological safety.  

Our active Employee Business Resources Groups further amplify and promote this culture of inclusion and care, building social connection and community across the globe. Together, these efforts help promote awareness, normalize mental health conversations and reinforce the message that openness and seeking support are signs of strength, not stigma.
