The program

At Johnson & Johnson, we believe health is everything. Our strength in healthcare innovation empowers us to build a world where complex diseases are prevented, treated, and cured, where treatments are smarter and less invasive, and solutions are personal. The Commercial Leadership Development Program (CLDP) is a comprehensive summer internship and full-time rotational program designed to create future commercial leaders by providing real-world experiences, learning opportunities, and mentoring across Johnson & Johnson.

The opportunity

Full-time program

  • A multi-year rotational program consisting of diverse experiences across the commercial organization designed to meet individual development plans and build leadership skills
  • The program provides an unmatched depth of broad-based enterprise experience across functions that may include in-line brand marketing, sales, customer insights, global commercial strategy, and market access
  • Placement in a key commercial role upon successful completion of the rotational program
  • Allows participants to build strong relationships across the organization, demonstrating the potential to excel as a strategic business leader

Summer program (12 weeks, May-August)

  • Internship designed to promote learning, networking, and career development
  • Placement on a critical business project in one of our multiple functional areas within the commercial organization
  • High-performing summer interns are given priority for the full-time program upon graduation

Who we’re looking for

Our ideal candidates have a passion for everything commercial. They have a strategic mindset, and possess exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. They should also have an ability to thrive in a highly complex, global work environment, and take the initiative to set priorities and exceed goals.

Minimum four years of work experience prior to business school is required as well as demonstrated examples of working in a matrix environment with an emphasis on collaboration and perseverance.

Experience in healthcare, marketing, sales, business analytics, and/or management consulting in a healthcare-related field is preferred but not required. Also, a concentration in Healthcare Management or Marketing is preferred but not required.
